Where you’ll sleep:

Two serene sleeping areas designed for deep rest. One queen bed is nestled in the open main living space with soft natural light and views out to the woods. The second queen bed is in the lofted area above, creating a cozy elevated nook that feels private and cocooned. Both beds have high quality linens and are ideal for quiet mid week stays, slow mornings and restorative nights of sleep.

The Space:

Rectangle is a modern, minimal cabin designed for slowness and clarity. The open living area has floor to ceiling windows framing the Catskills, with simple, thoughtful furnishings that support ease, not clutter. Cook in the small but efficient kitchenette, read by the light, stretch on the floor, or sink into stillness while the landscape becomes the entertainment.

The hempcrete build makes the interior feel grounded, quiet and balanced. You are surrounded by nature but held in comfort. Step outside for starwatching at night or morning coffee with birdsong. Rectangle is intentionally simple so you can think better, feel more, and fully reset, even if you are only staying one night midweek.

It is the perfect mid week work retreat.

You’ll have the entire cabin and outdoor space to yourself for the length of your stay. Private entry and easy self check in. Parking is on site. There is another cabin nearby on the land, but you still feel completely alone in the landscape. New draperies throughout the space allow you to adjust privacy as you prefer while still enjoying the views. The environment is calm, quiet, and nature forward, so please respect the land and neighbors. Mid week arrivals are welcome and often the most peaceful time to stay.

We give guests space for privacy, ease and true quiet. We are available by message if needed throughout your stay, but we do not intrude. Everything is designed to feel self guided, simple and seamless.

Bucolic farmlands and forests of the Hudson Valley, close to Copake, Hudson, Hillsdale and Great Barrington this area has become a coveted getaway location. Ideal for leaf-peeping, hiking and all the relaxation the Hudson Valley as to offer.

There is parking onsite with Tesla chargers for Electric Vehicles, please bring an adapter. You can hike the property or reserve bikes with us.

The smoke detectors are very sensitive due to the sustainable materials and design of the home. We encourage outdoor cooking when weather and regulations allow, but please be mindful that this is a forested area and there are often seasonal red flag warnings and burn bans. Always check current local guidelines before any open flame. Bears and other wildlife are present in the region, so please store food securely and keep outdoor areas clean.
